Meet the Team: Kitchen Designer – Mikolaj Dymowski
What does your job involve?
As Kuchina’s kitchen designer, my main role is working closely with customers to help create kitchens that are not only visually beautiful, but practical and perfectly suited to their lifestyles. I’m also designing the new Kuchina showroom, working on bringing our inspirational kitchen designs to life.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love helping our customers build the kitchen of their dreams, from drawing the concept to overseeing its construction. I like to combine my creativity and design skills to give advice on technical specifications, design trends, and space planning so that every customer will end up with a kitchen that surpasses their expectations.
What do you find most challenging in your job?
Finding a solution that is practical, creative and satisfies the clients’ needs – and that’s not to mention meeting constraints such as time or budget!
What’s your background?
I graduated from The Royal College of Art, Imperial College London and Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. After university, I spread my wings and worked for several design consultancies and studios worldwide before settling in London.
What’s your biggest achievement?
Two of the past projects I worked received Red Dot Design Award, which was a fantastic honour! And working at Kuchina, I’m sure that there will be many more accomplishments that I will be proud of.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like sports – it helps me unwind after a day of intense kitchen designing. I swap sketching for swimming, running or a session at the local gym.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Curious, passionate, and enthusiastic.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
That I’m already famous! Well, sort of. When I was a teenager, I played a part in an independent Polish film.
